State Route 104 (Southeast Side) – A project is underway to replace the bridge deck on the SR 104 bridge over US 33. One lane of traffic is maintained in each direction on SR 104 and two lanes are maintained in each direction on US 33. The ramp from SR 104 westbound to US 33 eastbound is closed. The posted detour is SR 104 westbound to Refugee Road eastbound to Alum Creek Drive southbound to SR 104 eastbound to US 33 eastbound. The ramp from US 33 westbound to SR 104 westbound is closed. The posted detour is Alum Creek Drive southbound to Refugee Road westbound to SR 104 westbound. The ramp from US 33 eastbound to SR 104 eastbound is closed. The posted detour is SR 104 westbound to Refugee Road eastbound to Alum Creek Drive southbound to SR 104 eastbound. Completion date: October 2009.
Rome Hilliard Road (West Side) – A project is in progress to rehabilitate the Rome Hilliard Road Bridge over I-70. Rome Hilliard Road is reduced to one lane in each direction between Renner Road and Feder Road. Completion date: September 2009.
Interstate Route 270 (North Side) – A project to widen I-270 to six lanes in each direction between US 23 and the CSX Railroad Bridge is in progress. Westbound traffic is shifted to the inside shoulder and all lanes remain open to traffic. Completion date: November 2009
International Gateway/Stelzer Road (Airport) – A project to construct four new bridges to seamlessly link I-670 and the Port Columbus International Airport is under way. Two lanes of traffic are maintained in each direction on International Gateway and one lane is maintained in each direction on Stelzer Road. The width of the ramps from I-670 to International Gateway is reduced from 16 feet to 10 feet. Completion date: November 2009
State Route 315 - ODOT is investing $24 million to improve several bridges, ramps and the road surface on SR 315 from Interstate 670 to just north of Ackerman Road. By Tuesday June 16th before morning rush hour, the following ramps will be shut down until the work is completed in the fall. The southbound SR 315 entrance ramps are Olentangy River Road, North Broadway, Ackerman Road, Lane Avenue and 12th Avenue. The following entrance ramps to SR 315 north will also be closed for the next 120 days or until the contractor completes the job. Those ramps are: I-670 east to SR 315 north, Goodale Boulevard to SR 315 north and Olentangy River Road to SR 315 north and the Lane Avenue entrance ramp to SR 315 north. It is not until Sunday June 21st at 10 p.m., that the remaining ramps will close and all traffic will be switched to the southbound side of SR 315. Traffic is restricted to one lane in each direction on parts of North High Street between Lane Avenue and Arcadia Avenue. This work is part of a project that will include new sidewalks, resurfacing, lighting, sewers and turn lanes at Hudson Street. The restrictions will be 24-hour-a-day and they will be in place until October 2009, weather permitting. In addition, there will be various parking restrictions and closures of side streets. Detour signs to Indianola Avenue are available as an alternate route. (City of Columbus)
Henderson Road is reduced to eastbound only, between just east of S.R. 315 (Starret Rd.) and High Street. Crews will be reconstructing the road and making other improvements and expect completion late this fall. Westbound traffic will be detoured to S.R. 161 and North Broadway.
Eastbound Mound Street between High Street and Front Street will close on Monday (3/2) for the construction of a tunnel to connect county buildings. This is a 24-hour-a-day eastbound closure; one westbound lane will be maintained. These restrictions are expected to last until early July, weather permitting. Eastbound traffic can use Main Street to Third Street to get to Mound Street. (City of Columbus)
Civic Center Drive is restricted to one lane until summer of 2009 from Broad Street to Rich Street. Marconi Boulevard is also restricted to one lane between Long Street and Broad Street. This 24 hour a day restriction is a part of the Scioto Mile Construction Project. (City of Columbus)
There will be various lane restrictions on Front Street between Rich and Broad streets for street improvements. These restrictions will be in place 24 hours a day until early August 2009, weather permitting. (City of Columbus)
